COURSE OUTLINE

The AWS Certified Developer – Associate exam validates technical expertise in developing and maintaining applications on the AWS platform. In this half-day, intermediate-level course, learn how to prepare for the exam by exploring the exam’s topic areas, mapping them to developing on AWS, and identifying specific areas to study. You will review sample exam questions in each topic area and learn how to interpret the concepts being tested so that you can better eliminate incorrect responses.

Prerequisites:

We recommend that attendees of this course have the following prerequisites:
One or more years of hands-on experience designing

Hybrid (VILT)

Virtual instruction environments are designed to simulate the traditional classroom or learning experience. Instructor-led training is still the number one delivery method of choice because it allows you to interact and discuss the training material, either individually or in a group setting, and you gain access to expert knowledge from certified instructors. This form of guided learning is impactful and produces positive learning outcomes. Day, evening and Saturday classes are offered.

Course Content

Module 1: Deployment
- Deploy written code in AWS using existing CI/CD pipelines, processes, and patterns.
- Deploy applications using Elastic Beanstalk.
- Prepare the application deployment package to be deployed to AWS.
- Deploy serverless applications.
Module 2: Security
- Make authenticated calls to AWS services.
- Implement encryption using AWS services.
- Implement application authentication and authorization.
Module 3: Development with AWS Services
- Write code for serverless applications.
- Translate functional requirements into application design.
- Implement application design into application code.
- Write code that interacts with AWS services by using APIs, SDKs, and AWS CLI.
Module 4: Refactoring
- Optimize application to best use AWS services and features.
- Migrate existing application code to run on AWS
Module 5: Monitoring and Troubleshooting
- Write code that can be monitored.
- Perform root cause analysis on faults found in testing or production.
