IT Cloud Administration

COURSE OUTLINE

This course introduces you to the cloud concepts in the Azure platform. You will learn how to create and deploy applications on the cloud, deploy resources on the Azure platform. You will also learn server systems in general and their relationship to the cloud. Once more you will learn evaluating, planning, migrating, deploying, and managing Microsoft 365 services. Ultimately you would perform Microsoft 365 tenant management tasks for an enterprise, including its identities, security, compliance, and supporting technologies. At the end of the course you will become Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert

  • Module 1 – COFI Curriculum for Fibre Optics - 30 Credits

      for the computer industry in South Africa
    • Writing business reports in Retail/Wholesale practices
  • Module 2 – Cloud Fundamentals - 24 Credits

    • Install a server computer and peripherals
    • Demonstrate an understanding of different computer
      network architectures and standards
  • Module 3 – Machine Learning - 17 Credits

    Lessons

    • Administer a local area computer network
    • Demonstrate an understanding of issues affecting the
      management of a local area computer network (LAN)
    • Demonstrate an understanding of Wide Area Computer
      Networks (WAN`s), comparing them with Local Area
      Networks (LAN`s)
    • Design a local area computer network for a departmental
      office environment
    • Install and commission a local area computer network
  • Module 4 – Information Technology Infrastructure Foundation - 27 Credits

    Lessons

    • Apply the principles of resolving problems for single-user and multi-user computer operating systems
    • Demonstrate an understanding of the concepts of Multi-User computer Operating systems
    • Demonstrate appropriate customer care in the context of IT support, according to a Service Level Agreement
    • Describe enterprise systems management and its role in IT systems support
    • Demonstrate an understanding of local area computer networks
  • Module 5 – Introduction to Server Management - 7 Credits

    • Demonstrate an understanding of the concepts of Multi-User computer Operating systems
    • Install and configure a multi-user networked operating system
    • Monitor and maintain a multi-user networked operating system
    • Test Networked IT systems against given specifications
    • Apply the principles of resolving problems for single-user and multi-user computer operating systems
  • Module 6 – Advanced Server Systems - 42 Credits

    Lessons

    • Install and commission multi-user system software on a server computer
    • Operate an enterprise server computer system
    • Install and commision multi-user application software for a server computer
    • Demonstrate an understanding of the concepts of Multi-User computer Operating systems
    • Install and configure a multi-user networked operating system
    • Monitor and maintain a multi-user networked operating system
    • Test Networked IT systems against given specifications
    • Apply the principles of resolving problems for single-user and multi-user computer operating systems
